Is an open or closed trailer better?

If you are carrying an expensive ATV or motorcycle, you may want to protect your investment with an enclosed trailer. On the other hand, if your ATV is regularly exposed to the elements and you need something that can easily cross rugged terrain, an open deck-over trailer may be the better option.
