Gooseneck Trailers

Transporting heavy loads can be daunting. Whether you’re a contractor hauling construction equipment or a farmer moving livestock, the right trailer can make all the difference. Gooseneck trailers have gained a reputation for stability and versatility.

Gooseneck trailers are popular for commercial and agricultural use due to their stability and ability to handle heavier loads. Connecting to a ball in the truck bed, they offer enhanced stability, higher weight capacity, and improved maneuverability compared to bumper-pull trailers. Available in various types, such as flatbed, dump, and enclosed, they cater to diverse needs, from hauling equipment to securing valuable cargo.

Benefits of Gooseneck Trailers

Gooseneck Trailers For Sale in PA

Perhaps one of the most significant benefits of these heavy-duty trailers is their sheer strength due to the size of the beams used in constructing the main frame.

Because a Gooseneck trailer tends to be more stable than a bumper hitch trailer, it can be a safer option on the road. Keep in mind, however, that they require more experience to operate since a gooseneck doesn’t track behind the towing vehicle the same way a tag-along trailer does.

These trailers come with gooseneck hitches as standard or can be upgraded with adjustable couplers or kingpin hitches. We also offer custom-made gooseneck trailers if your needs exceed our stock models. Read more about Gooseneck Trailers.

Flatbed Goosenecks vs. Deck-Over Trailers

Which is right for your hauling needs – a Flatbed Gooseneck and a Deck-Over Trailer?

The Flatbed Gooseneck is designed with a flat, level deck and connects to a hitch in the truck bed for increased towing stability and maneuverability. With a low profile and weight capacity of up to 25,000 lb GVWR, the gooseneck is ideal for hauling heavy-duty equipment, vehicles, and machinery. The gooseneck hitch offers better weight distribution, ensuring a smoother ride and higher towing capacity.

A Deck-Over has a wider, flat deck that sits above the wheels, providing a larger loading area and full-width capacity. While it may not offer the same level of maneuverability as a gooseneck and typically has a lower weight capacity, the deck-over trailer is perfect for transporting a wide range of cargo that might not fit in a traditional flatbed.
